Pastor Raymond Yip

Pastor Raymond is husband to Jeanette, and father of three children. He grew up in a family restaurant in Southern California, later attended U.C. Davis, and then worked high tech/computer industry in Northern California for various startups and major corporations. He was called to ministry in 2007, serving in various capacities (families, facilities, worship, children’s), and with a heart for missions and church-planting. His current mission is to be a Bay Area pastor of a multi-cultural church. He is a graduate of the Gateway Seminary (formerly Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary).

Senior Pastor Kenneth Son

Pastor Kenneth Son came to the United States during his high school years, in Southern California. After attending Cal Poly Pomona, he obtained his M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1996. After he was ordained by the Southern Baptist Convention, he served the young adult ministry in Bethel Korean Church in Irvine. He was also went to Japan as missionary, before becoming the senior pastor of New Community Baptist Church in 2011. He is husband to Kathy, and together they raise two children. He is committed to a ministry where, “one’s life is devoted to going after that one lost soul."

Pastors Soomee Kim

Preschool Ministry

Pastor Soomee is wife to Eugene, and mother of two children. She came to the Bay Area in 2002 as a nurse. She has served in the church for children’s ministry and small group ministry. In 2011, she realized her enthusiasm for Christian education for children, and from 2014, she started her studies in Educational Leadership and Early Childhood Education at Gateway Seminary. Now she oversees the pre-school ministry.

Pastors Rebecca Park

Preschool Ministry

Pastor Rebecca is wife to Joontae, and mother of two children. She was born into the church and accepted Jesus at the age of 13. After getting married in 2003, she joined him in California and has been attending NCBC ever since. She has a passion for the worship ministry, as well as the college/young adult ministry. She has also been involved in the children's ministry since 2006, bringing her love for worship, training children to become true worshipers. She has a growing desire to reach the unchurched through children's programs outside of the church walls. She began studying at Gateway Seminary in 2014, in Educational Leadership.

Pastors Jay and Jamie Han

Preschool Ministry

As husband and wife, Pastors Jae and Jamie both have served in youth ministry since 2005. Both also attended UC Davis and finished the same Bio Science major, but would meet each other at Gateway Seminary later. They have two children, and have enjoyed growing and discipling youth of the Bay Area. Pastor Jae’s calling is to lead others to live the life of Christ's disciples, obeying Jesus’ teachings. Pastor Jamie's mission is to lead others to know Jesus Christ personally, and to live a life of love and obedience to Him.
